YU KUROSAKI & HEAVENSAKE

WHERE STEEL MEETS SPIRIT

In Japan, the knife is not merely a tool. It is an extension of the hand, a meditation in steel, a bridge between intention and creation.

Yu Kurosaki is the youngest blacksmith ever to be awarded the title of Master by the Japanese government, an honor that recognizes not just skill, but the preservation and evolution of centuries-old tradition . Born in 1979 in Takefu Echizen, he began his journey at sixteen, abandoning formal education to pursue his calling under master blacksmith Hiroshi Kato, completing a rigorous twelve-year apprenticeship

Today, operating from his minimalist workshop in the storied Takefu Knife Village, a 700-year-old hub of Japanese blade-making, Kurosaki-san creates knives that are as much art as instruments. His signature Fujin line, with its hand-hammered wind patterns, and Shizuku collection, featuring drop-shaped tsuchime finishes, have earned him a cult following among the world's greatest chefs and collectors

This limited edition set was Kurosaki's way to celebrate the 9 year anniversary of Heavensake. Rumor has it that something special is being prepared for the 10 year celebration...
